NIS 2 Report: Development of a Report on the Potential Impacts in Portugal of the Directive (NIS 2 – EU) 2022/2555 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Regarding Measures to Ensure a High Level of Cybersecurity Within the Union and the Repeal of Directive (EU) 2016/1148

The team set out to develop a Report on the Potential Impacts of the NIS 2 Directive in Portugal, thus contributing to the exchange of multi- and interdisciplinary knowledge on cybersecurity in the European Union and in Portugal, based on a scientific and empirical awareness of security in the cyberspace, looking in particular at the changes that the new Directive (EU) 2022/2555 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning measures for a high level of cybersecurity within the Union – adopted in December 2022 and known as the NIS Directive – introduced into the European legal order and, more specifically, its impact on the pre-existing legal framework in Portugal. This was the only proposal to be awarded the maximum qualification in the ‘team’ vector.
