Corruption, Democracy, and Human Rights
The main objective of this project was to study the phenomenon of corruption, in its different aspects and manifestations, making an effort of comparison with the reality of other countries (in particular, Spain and Brazil) to check the legal framework in force, to assess the impact that corruption has had on the spectrum of the democratic institutions and the Rule of Law, and what measures have been taken to overcome it. In addition to providing a clear picture of the state of affairs in this area, from this project resulted proposals for legislative and policy developments to improve the mechanisms for the prevention and repression of corruption.
