ELI

The European Law Institute (ELI) is a nonprofit, self-governing organisation established to launch, lead, and facilitate research, issue recommendations, and provide hands-on guidance on the development of European legal affairs. Rooted in a rich diversity of juridical traditions, the mission of the ELI lies in the pursuit of improved laws for Europe and the consolidation of the European legal framework. Moreover, by integrating the achievements of different juridical cultures, upholding the value of comparative knowledge, and embracing a truly pan-European vision, the ELI aims to contribute to the forging of a more robust European legal community. Accordingly, all branches of the juridical spectrum are dealt with, from substantive to procedural law and from the private to the public spheres.
