NATO4Schools
The NATO4Schools project aimed at developing, testing, and implementing an educational solution assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to introduce new teaching methodologies for secondary school teachers and students. Taking NATO—an international organisation with extensive resources on its history, mission and values—as a case study, the project created two educational resources: the “NATO Knowledge Hub” and the “NATO Edu-metaverse”. These resources bring together official information from NATO’s official webpage and its YouTube channel. The team of researchers, led by Professors Bruno Reynaud de Sousa (EDUM and JusGov) and Sílvia Araújo (ELACH and CEHUM), received funding from the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO in 2023. The project has successfully completed the creation of both tools, with plans to enhance and improve those resources in a new project in 2024.
Duration: November 2023 – December 2023.
