The Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov), the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Human Rights and the Law School of the University of Minho organize an International Seminar, entitled Penalties + Humane: challenges between the criminal justice system and restorative justice, dedicated to the new challenges surrounding Restorative Justice and Criminal Justice. This event will be held on December 12 – 13, at the Law School of the University of Minho.
The relevance of Restorative Justice as an alternative and / or complementary solution to traditional criminal justice will be highlighted, while emphasizing the meeting, dialogue among procedural participants and the need for new and effective remedial solutions that allow legal, social, community and personal pacification.
