UMinho Prize for Initiation in Scientific Research
The UMinho Prize for Initiation in Scientific Research aims to provide an opportunity to introduce 1st cycle students (including the first three years of integrated study cycles leading to a Master’s degree) to real contexts of scientific research and to integrate them into research teams working on the production of new and relevant knowledge. In pursuit of this objective, it is intended that students applying for the Prize will have the opportunity to engage in supervised research activities that will foster their interest in science. The Prize also aims to encourage students to participate consciously and successfully in subsequent cycles of study, in which research plays a central role.
