JusGov’s proposal for the preparation of a report on Ethics & Law, submitted at the invitation of the National Centre for Cybersecurity, was selected for funding.

The project team, led by JusGov researcher Francisco Pacheco de Andrade, includes JusGov researchers Joana Covelo de Abreu, Pedro Freitas, Pedro Dias Venâncio, Isabel Fonseca, Joana Aguiar e Silva and Patrícia Jerónimo.

The National Centre for Cybersecurity is the operational coordinator and the Portuguese national authority specialised in cybersecurity, aimed at ensuring that the cyberspace is used as an area of freedom, security and justice, for the protection of all sectors of society that substantiate national sovereignty and the democratic State under the rule of law.

The participation of JusGov researchers in the preparation of a report on Ethics & Law for the National Centre for Cybersecurity is, thus, an important contribution for monitoring the cybersecurity phenomenon in Portugal, in order to support the definition of public policies.
