The award session took place last Friday, November 12th. Promoted by the Rectory with the research centres, the Prize has allowed, over the last few months, undergraduate and first-year integrated Master’s students to develop scientific projects as part of research teams of recognized merit.

Our students Tiago Vidal e Maria João Alves presented projects developed within JusGov, under the Humanities and Social Sciences-Panel 3. André Teixeira presented a poster.

Maria João Alves –  «Gender and cultural difference in the jurisprudence of Portuguese courts» (supervisor Prof.ª Doutora Patrícia Jerónimo);

Tiago Vidal – « The financial crisis in the jurisprudence of the criminal, civil and Court of Auditors» (supervisor Prof. Doutor Joaquim Rocha);

André Teixeira – sobre « Housing in the Collaborative Economy: Analysis, Challenges and Regulation» (supervisor Prof.ª Doutora Anabela Gonçalves).

Maria João Alves won the Prize. The project developed consisted in the analysis of how gender issues intersect with cultural arguments in the jurisprudence of Portuguese courts, based on the jurisprudence inventory carried out by the InclusiveCourts team and having as reference the doctrinal debates on gender equality, intersectionality and multiculturalism.

JusGov congratulates all students for their participation, as well as the project’s team.
