Project Description

Workshop “Global Public Policies for Cooperation to Combat Crime as an Instrument of Good Democratic Governance: Normative Frameworks and Strategic Actions” | March 17th

The Center for Interdisciplinary Research – Human Rights (DH-CII), in collaboration with the Center for the Study of European Union Law (CEDU), will hold a workshop entitled “Global Public Policies for Cooperation to Combat Crime as an Instrument of Good Democratic Governance: Normative Frameworks and Strategic Actions”, which will be attended by Dr. Gemma Pérez Souto and Dr. Rogerio Gesta Leal.

In 2016, after the great laws of modernization of the law of the obligations in Germany and in France, a dialogue between the jurists of Spain and of Portugal on the perspectives of evolution of the civil law in both countries makes full sense.

And, if such a dialogue would always be justified, it is even more justified at a time when the Portuguese Civil Code is fifty years old.

Scientific coordination is the responsibility of Nuno Manuel Pinto Oliveira and Maria João Vasconcelos, with the collaboration of Benedita MacCrorie, integrated researchers of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Human Rights and professors of the Law School of Minho University.
