OPDCFS (Practical Observatory on Children, Family, and Succession Law)
The OPDCFS (Practical Observatory on Children, Family, and Succession Law) is a project designed to enable practitioners working in these fields to share their hands-on experiences with the academic community, particularly students, on a regular basis.
The main reason behind this commitment is our belief that fairer and more effective legal systems, capable of meeting the concrete needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable of them and children above all, will emerge as a result of the marriage of practice and theory.
This Observatory is intended to serve as a privileged forum for dialogue involving different legal observers, like judges, lawyers, court clerks, and scholars, all of whom will contribute to a more consistent and harmonious sphere of legal activity.
Moreover, a critical step towards the scientific and vocational growth of students is involving them fully in projects such as this, through research, case studies, and exposure to the reality on the ground.
This Observatory has become a model of cooperation between the academic and strictly professional circles, favouring knowledge transfer and generating or boosting synergies between all the parties involved.
