In conversation with… is an initiative of the School of Researchers of the Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov) of the School of Law of the University of Minho. This initiative aims at developing an intimate conversation about the life course of some personalities with social relevance.

Álvaro Laborinho Lúcio is the first guest of this initiative of the School of Researchers due to his multifaceted professional trajectory and his dedication to the common good, which makes him an example of conduct and life in society. Álvaro Laborinho Lúcio was Prosecutor General for the Portuguese Republic, Judge, Inspector of the Public Prosecution, Director of the School of Judicial Police and the Centre for Judicial Studies, Member of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, Guest Professor of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Secretary of State for the Judiciary, Minister of Justice, Minister of the Portuguese Republic for the Azores, Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic, President of the General Council of the University of Minho … He is the author of several writings in the area of ​​justice, also having some incursions as a novelist. He is currently a Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice and Guest Professor of the Master’s Degree in Judicial Law from the School of Law. More recently, he was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Minho.

The JusGov’s School of Researchers invites the entire academic community to participate in this initiative, which will be held on April 5th at 2:30 p.m., at Sala de Audiências of the School of Law of the University of Minho.
