Daniel Innerarity is a Full Professor of Political and Social Philosophy and holds the Artificial Intelligence & Democracy Chair at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. He is also an Ikerbasque Researcher at the University of the Basque Country and Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance – Globernance.

He has been awarded the Miguel de Unamuno Essay Prize, the 2003 National Literature Prize in the Essay category, the Espasa Essay Prize, and the Euskadi Essay Prize. He also received the Humanities, Culture, Arts, and Social Sciences Prize from the Basque Studies Society/Eusko Ikaskuntza in 2008 and the Prince of Viana Culture Prize in 2013.

The French magazine Le Nouvel Observateur included him in a list of the 25 greatest thinkers in the world.

The conference, under the scientific coordination of Gema Souto, Auxiliary Researcher – CEECInd (FCT), JusGov, will take place online on 31 March, starting at 17:30 (Lisbon time) and ending at 18:30.
