Maria Inês Costa and Manuel Protasio, both FCT doctoral fellows affiliated with JusGov’s School of Researchers, were present at the recent international forum in Pontevedra addressing the challenges of Europe’s digital transformation. Their participation underscores the growing influence of the JusGov community in transnational dialogues on technology, governance, and regulation.

The conference gathered experts from twelve European nations to debate issues such as the Digital Decade strategy, artificial intelligence regulation (AI Act), the digital adaptation of political institutions, the digital divide, data governance and interoperability, and the obligations and opportunities posed to member states by EU-level regulatory frameworks.

JusGov’s direct engagement in such high-level forums is a testament to its standing as a hub of research excellence in law, governance, and digital policy, shaping the future architecture of Europe’s digital order.
