International Conference “Euthanasia: a consensus for overlap?” | December 7th

The School of Law and the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Human Rights, through its research groups on human rights and biomedicine and in private law – phenomena of constitutionalisation, materialization and socialization, organize an international colloquium on the theme “Euthanasia: a consensus for overlap? “on December 7, 2016, starting at 2.30 pm, at the Law School of the University of Minho.

With legislative intervention being announced in the coming months, it will be important to investigate the possibility and the limits of a consensus on the subject of euthanasia, within the framework of reasonable pluralism.

The works will be attended by professors and researchers from the University of Giessen, Germany, the University of Coimbra and the University of Minho.

Participants will include Professor Dr. Steffen Augsberg, a member of the Deutscher Ethikrat, and Professor André Dias Pereira, a member of the National Ethics Committee for Life Sciences.
