The public presentation of the UMinho Prize for Initiation in Scientific Research 2023 took place yesterday, December 12th.

This initiative, promoted by the Rectorate in conjunction with the University of Minho’s research centers, has allowed undergraduate and first-year integrated master’s students to develop scientific projects as part of research teams of recognized merit over the last few months.

Students Ana Teresa Coelho da Cruz and Ana Filipa Ribeiro presented the projects they developed as part of JusGov:

Ana Teresa Coelho da Cruz – “The protection of the elderly – difficulties and proposed solutions” (supervised by Prof. Dr. Sónia Moreira);

Ana Filipa Ribeiro – “New digital manifestations of financial services and European integration. What advantages for the European citizen” (supervised by Prof. Dr. Pedro Froufe).

Student Ana Filipa Ribeiro was awarded for her project, which consisted of analyzing the new MICA regulation on cryptoasset markets, critically assessing the model being drawn up by the European Parliament.

JusGov congratulates the students for their excellent participation, as well as their teams and, in particular, Ana Filipa Ribeiro.
