This work addresses current and highly relevant issues in the field of road safety and related criminality, contributing to the advancement of both legal and technical knowledge in this area. The topicality and pertinence of the subject are evident from the very outset, when the author recalls that, “according to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution of 31 August 2020 (Resolution 74/299) on improving global road safety, more than 1.3 million people die and 50 million are injured every year”. The volume largely stems from the work undertaken by the author in the context of a continuous training programme for magistrates, held at the Centre for Judicial Studies in June 2024.
