The ProChild CoLab Against Poverty and Social Exclusion (ProChild CoLAB) received the Human Rights Award 2023 on December 13 at the Portuguese Parliament.
The award was received by the president of the ProChild board and professor at the School of Psychology at the University of Minho (UMinho), Isabel Soares, and accompanied by the rector of UMinho, Rui Vieira de Castro. This high distinction recognized ProChild’s work in combating poverty and social exclusion in childhood and contributing to public policies to defend children’s rights, through a transdisciplinary scientific approach and coordination with various partners in the public and private sectors.
Researchers Anabela Gonçalves, Margarida Santos and Cristina Dias are part of the ProChild Colab Against Poverty and Social Exclusion team.
