Two recently approved European Regulations will have a significant impact on the lives of European citizens, companies and Public Administration in the coming years: the Regulation on Electronic Identification and the General Regulation on Data Protection. The first has already entered into force, while the latter will come into force in May next year. Legal operators need to be aware of these relevant legal instruments and their debate becomes urgent.
