Through the ELSA Traineeships programme and thanks to the tireless efforts of ELSA UMinho, Kağan Büyükdereli, a final-year Law student at the MEF University (Türkiye), started and successfully completed a two-month research internship at the Research Centre for Justice and Governance of the School of Law of the University of Minho (JusGov/EDUM).
Büyükdereli’s work, supervised by our researcher Maria Miguel Carvalho, culminated in an academic presentation titled “EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD): Normative Foundations, Legal Architecture, Extraterritorial Effects, and Implications for Türkiye”, delivered to postgraduate students of the Master’s Course in Contract and Company Law on October 24th 2025.
By hosting Kağan Büyükdereli, the JusGov community showcased its unwavering pledge to nurture international cooperation, academic mentorship, and the scholarly development of emerging talent.
