On the 31st of October 2025, the distinguished Encontros Jurídicos of the Bank of Portugal will once again convene, this time in Braga, at the Grand Auditorium of the School of Law of the University of Minho. This event is organised in collaboration with the Research Centre f Justice and Governance (JusGov) and the School of Law of the University of Minho.

The focal theme of this edition will be “The Custodianship of the Banking Relationship: Challenges in Bank Resolution and Combating Digital Fraud”. Essential for the safeguarding of proprietary rights, the custodianship of the banking relationship also underpins the stability of the financial system and the public’s trust in financial institutions. In this context, addressing the challenges posed by bank resolution and the fight against digital fraud is a sine qua non for ensuring the robustness of credit institutions and the effective protection of depositors.
