With the elections to the European Parliament scheduled for June 2024, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Digital Citizenship and Technological Sustainability (CitDig) is organizing, in partnership with the Portuguese Association of European Law (APDE), an information session on European elections and European careers, to be held on March 11, at 11am, in the noble auditorium of the School of Law.

The session is open to the general public and will feature interventions by Joana Covelo Abreu (CitDig key staff member, representing EDUM) and Carlos Botelho Moniz (President of APDE, representing APDE), with the work being moderated by Alessandra Silveira (CitDig Coordinator).

Bearing in mind the target audience of students, the event will also feature an intervention by Maria Inês Costa, UMinho’s Ambassador for European Careers, in order to enlighten them on the opportunities for internships and careers in the European Union.

The information session is supported by the European Parliament Office in Portugal. It is important to emphasize the importance of voting in the affirmation of European democracy, as well as the impact that the elections to the European Parliament will have on the dynamics of integration itself.
