As International Humanitarian Law is the branch of law that determines which behaviours are licit or illicit in armed conflicts, it is pertinent to have a basic knowledge of its norms, in order to allow a correct evaluation of the behaviours that take place in this context and that are daily broadcasted to us by the media.
