This work seeks to provide a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the legal regime governing the embargos de terceiro (third-party proceedings in enforcement).
In pursuit of this aim, the book examines both the substantive and procedural dimensions of the embargos de terceiro, while also giving due consideration—through the citation and discussion of more than eight hundred judicial decisions—to the theoretical interpretation and practical application of this legal mechanism as developed by the Portuguese higher courts.
Along these lines, it is hoped that this work may, insofar as possible, contribute to the study and understanding of the embargos de terceiro.
