This book corresponds to the written version of the II Meeting of Doctoral Students in Law, promoted by the School of Law of the University of Minho and the Faculty of Law of the University of Salamanca, which took place in January 2021. It brings together contributions from legal science researchers from Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, and Mexico, and is structured in four main sections: public governance; procedural guarantees; human rights, and criminal law; legal-private relations.

For all these reasons, the book now published represents a significant contribution to the necessary reflection on the challenges that the Digital Transition poses to Law (and rights) and Public Governance.
