As in the previous numbers, the 2026 edition of the Yearbook kept open to texts related to all topics of E-Tec’s core themes (Industry 4.0; Space Law and Policy; Artificial Intelligence and Robotics; New Disruptive Technological Areas for Law; and Public and Corporate Governance), exploring various legal problems that emerge from technological innovations in these areas. Thus, as usual, we find in this volume very diverse texts, but equally interesting: ranging from the regulation of Artificial Intelligence in the AI Act, issues raised in the context of Digital Citizenship and Cybersecurity in local authorities, problems of digital governance and transparency, through the legal status of domestic animals under inheritance law and the protection of happiness, right up to a proposal for a new, swifter and more efficient judicial system through the use of AI tools, whilst taking due care not to jeopardise citizens’ fundamental rights.
