Marta Santos Silva is Postdoctoral Researcher (Investigadora Auxiliar) at the Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov) in University of Minho and affiliated researcher at the Maastricht European Private Law Institute (M-EPLI) and the Centre for European Law and Politics in Bremen (ZERP). She is interested in sustainable consumption (including green nudges and minimalism) and digitalisation (particularly as far as producer liability and the circular economy are concerned). She was selected for the Academy of Change, a capacity building programme on sustainable behaviours designed for future leaders working on climate change and sustainability. She also graduated an executive training on Behavioural Economics and Nudging at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Marta was appointed member of the Expert Group on Liability and New Technologies (Product liability formation) at the European Commission and is an elected member of the European Law Institute’s Council, as well as member of the Environmental Law and Digital Law Special Interest Groups. She has +15 years of professional experience in teaching, academic management and legal and policy consultancy: prior to her current role, she worked at the Faculty of Law at Maastricht University and was legal advisor at Milieu, a Brussels-based consultancy, working chiefly with the European institutions and agencies, particularly the European Commission, the European Parliament and CHAFEA.
