“Who controls the method in Europe? Around the judgment of the CJEU of 19 April 2016 (Rasmussen)” | June 23rd

Professor Dr. Christian Baldus, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg, will present on June 23, 2 017, at the School of Law of the University of Minho, at 2:00 p.m., a conference on the subject: “Who controls the method in Europe? Around the judgment of the CJEU of 19 April 2016 (Rasmussen)”

Christian Baldus is a professor of civil law, Roman law, comparative law and European law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg. He has fundamental research themes as the system and method of Roman law and German and European private law.

He is currently vice-president of the Luso-German Association of Jurists / Deutsch-Lusitanische Juristenvereinigung, e. V.

The communication of Professor Christian Baldus will be commented by Maria João Vasconcelos and by Joana Rita Covelo de Abreu, professors of the Law School of the University of Minho.

The colloquium is organized by the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Human Rights, through its research group on private law – phenomena of constitutionalisation, materialization and socialization, with scientific coordination of Nuno Manuel Pinto Oliveira and Benedita MacCrorie, integrated researchers of the Research Center Interdisciplinary Human Rights and professors of the Law School of the University of Minho.
