On June 24th, CEDU researchers participated in the radio programme “O Estado da União” (a partnership between Centro de Informação Europe Direct Minho, Antena Minho and Correio do Minho). Apart from the intervention of Alessandra Silveira, resident commentator at the program and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law at UMinho, this episode counted on the participation of Pedro Froufe (coordinator of CEDU research group and director of the Department of the Public Legal Sciences at EDUM), and Joaquim Freitas da Rocha (Professor at EDUM and expert on financial and tax issues).

In this third episode, speakers envisioned the future of European integration in the post-pandemic period from the articulation between the topics of citizenship and finance, having as motto the recovery and resilience fund of European economies affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 (Next Generation), as well as the anti-racist demonstrations that have become a flag for the fight for equal rights in Europe.

The radio programme “O Estado da União” is broadcast by Antena Minho (106.0 FM), on the last Wednesday of each month, at 7 pm, and aims to discuss the current European situation. The conversation is usually chaired by Alzira Costa, coordinator of the Centro de Informação Europe Direct Minho, and by Paulo Monteiro, Rádio Antena Minho Director.
