Mercília Pereira Gonçalves, a researcher at JusGov, a PhD candidate in Private Legal Sciences (EDUM), and a research fellow (FCT), has been selected to participate in the International Congress organized by the Faculty of Law at UNED, Madrid.

The International Congress, organized by the Faculty of Law (UNED), Madrid, addresses a series of debates on the protection of persons with disabilities, as well as an analysis of recent legislative changes and compliance with the corresponding international standards.

The topics discussed in this Congress range from Private International Law to Civil Law and Procedural Law.

Mercília Pereira Gonçalves’ presentation, scheduled for April 19, 2024, will focus on Civil Law, specifically the topic “Law 49/2018 Strengthens the Rights of People with Disabilities.”
