Marta Santos Silva, Postdoctoral researcher at JusGov will chair the ‘Sustainability in the Food Chain’ workshop, the first workshop that the ELI Portuguese Hub – which she co-presides – is organising in the context of the European Law Institute’s annual conference, taking place this year in Dublin. The workshop will host Francesco Montanari as a keynote speaker and Rute Saraiva, Nuno Nobre, Filipe Furtado and Inês Saraiva as discussants. During the workshop the legal and regulatory challenges and opportunities in promoting a more sustainable food chain in Europe will be discussed. This workshop will be a platform to debate critical issues affecting the food industry, especially in the olive oil, packaging, food labelling and ultra-processed food sectors.
