Marta Santos Silva, Postdoctoral Researcher at JusGov, will chair the workshop “Sustainability in the Food Chain”, the first workshop organized by the Legal Hub of the European Law Institute – which she co-coordinates – within the framework of an ELI Annual Conference. This year, the conference will take place in Dublin from October 9 to 11.
The workshop will feature Francesco Montanari as the keynote speaker, with Rute Saraiva, Nuno Nobre, Filipe Furtado, and Inês Saraiva as commentators. The workshop will focus on the legal challenges and opportunities in promoting a more sustainable food chain in Europe. This workshop will serve as a platform to address critical issues affecting the food industry, particularly in the areas of alternative protein sources, fisheries, packaging, food labeling, and ultra-processed foods.
