Marta Santos Silva, Postdoctoral Researcher at JusGov, was commissioned by the European Law Institute with drafting the third Innovation Paper of the Institute on Guiding Principles for the Design and Implementation of Green Nudges. This draft Innovation Paper sets out 9 Guiding Principles, aimed at informing and empowering policymakers in the design and implementation of optimal green nudges.

The European Law Institute’s Innovation Papers are intended to enable its members to put forward pioneering legal or multidisciplinary ideas that deserve the attention of the European legal community and seek to enhance European law.

The draft Innovation Paper on the Guiding Principles for the Design and Implementation of Green Nudges was prepared following two successful meetings of the High-Level Expert Group, chaired by the author, and is currently under review by ELI members.
