JusGov Researcher Rossana Cruz will participate in the Fourth International Conference on Shared Parenting, to be held at Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg (France), on November 22-23.
As part of the event’s programme a poster session will be held on November 22nd, within which Rossana Cruz will present the poster “Family mediation and shared parenting – two peas in a pod?”. With her intervention, Rossana Cruz will have the opportunity to explain that mediation is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method particularly suitable for family conflicts. These are endowed with emotional characteristics that make them, most of the times, not appropriate for courts. The child’s best interest is protected if their parents can dialogue and be cordial to one another. For that to happen the way they part ways has to be handled with much caution and care. That’s why that family mediation and shared parenting should walk hand in hand.
