JusGov researchers Clara Calheiros and Miriam Rocha participated in the 31st IVR Congress, held from July 7 to 12, 2024, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, under the theme “Rule of Law, Justice, and the Future of Democracy.”
Researcher Clara Calheiros presented a paper titled “Building Communities: Legal Orders, Identity, and the Sense of Belonging” in the panel “Glued Together: Imagined Order and Cooperation in 21st Century Democracies.” Researcher Miriam Rocha contributed with a presentation titled “Fostering empathy as a motivation to cooperate in democratic societies.”
The workshop was proposed and coordinated by Dr. Clara Calheiros, in collaboration with Prof. Manuel Gómez from Florida International University (FIU), United States.
