On July 9, 2024, a research meeting was held with five students from the University of Pennsylvania who are currently conducting a research stay at JusGov,  under the supervision of various JusGov researchers, as part of a protocol with the University of Minho School of Law.

Carina Li, Louis Dong, Maya Ballerstedt, Omar Sweidan, and Rhinda Sudhini presented an informative and engaging session on the American electoral system and discussed various topics of their research, which have been developed under the supervision of Marta Santos Silva, Sergio Ruiz Díaz Arce, Bruno Reynaud de Sousa, Gema Pérez Souto, and Sónia Moreira, respectively.

Several topics were debated, including green nudges, the judiciary and democracy, sexual and reproductive health, freedom of expression, and artificial intelligence, in a session that highlighted the depth of the research conducted and the relevance of internationalisation.
