
Pedro Miguel Dias Venâncio

With a long academic background, Pedro Dias Venâncio holds a PhD in Privat Law from University of Minho (2014), a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law from the Portuguese Catholic University (2008), a post-graduate degree in Communication Law from the University of Coimbra (2001) ), Graduated in Law from Portuguese Catholic University (1996).
He is currently a full-time Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and as an Assistant Professor, part-time at the University of Minho.
He is also a guest researcher at CIICESI, at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, and JusGov, at the University of Minho. Where he is particularly interested in Business Law and Information Society Law.
From 2016 to 2018 he served as an international legal adviser in the Office of the Minister of State Coordinator for Economic Affairs and in the Office of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of the VI and VII Constitutional Governments of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste
From the academic year 2003/2004 until the year 2015/2016 he was a guest lecturer in different institutions of higher education, in particular at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, at the University of Minho and at the University of Porto.
He completed his law practice in Portugal in 1999 (document 7332p), having effectively practiced until 2015, first as a liberal professional and later integrated in the Henrique Pina Lopes e Associados, RL law firm (of which I was a co-founder), preferably in the areas Business Law, Labor Law and Intellectual Property Law.
