Paulo Praça

Paulo José Gomes Monteiro Praça has a university degree in Law with postgraduate degrees in Industrial Law, Interiority Law and Local Authorities Law, such as the title of Specialist in Law for Solicitors.

He is Director General of the inter-municipal company Resíduos do Nordeste and Chairman of ESGRA – Association for Waste Management.

Invited assistant Professor at the Superior School of Communication, Administration and Tourism of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, in the Master’s Degree in Local Administration and in the Degree of Solicitors, concerning Planning, Urbanism and Environment.

He was a researcher at the Center for the Study of Laws of Local Authorities (NEDAL), an organic subunit of the University of Minho Law School (EDUM).

He is currently a research associate in JusGov’s team (Justice and Governance Research Center), a sub-unit of the Law School and an R & D Unit at the University of Minho, within the scope of Glob – Globalization, Democracy and Power.

He was Assistant to the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, in the XV Constitutional Government, Advisor to the Minister(s) of Economy and to the Minister of Finance and Economy, in the XIV Constitutional Government, and Advisor to the Minister of Economy,in the XIII Constitutional Government.

In recent years he has participated in several training actions as a speaker and as a participant.

He is also the author of published works.
