This event involves the launch of the recently published book “Guia da Pesquisa Jurídica – Metodologia da Investigação Científica em Direito. Aspectos Teóricos e Práticos” (Coimbra, Almedina, 2024), authored by Professors Ricardo de Macedo Menna Barreto (EDUM) and Cristóvão Atílio Viero (UFOB, Brazil). The book will be presented by Professor Joana Aguiar e Silva (EDUM).
After the presentation of the book, the authors intend to present together the essential features of legal research today, seeking to revive research in law. The aim is to problematize legal research, presenting its main challenges and its prospects for a solid legal education. In this sense, it is worth noting that the work to be presented aims to provide the theoretical and methodological bases necessary for the development of research projects and different types of research work, such as scientific articles, master’s dissertations and doctoral theses in Law.
