The International Seminar “Challenges of Humanitarian Action Today”, organised by Fernando Pessoa University and partner entities, will take place on the 20th and 21st of May.
The World Humanitarian Summit, held in Istanbul on 23-24 May 2016, was the first such gathering, convened by the UN to reform the global humanitarian system in response to an unprecedented rise in crises and forced migration. Today, the context is even more serious. It is time to reflect on the outcomes with university students, civil society, NGOs, and other stakeholders, and to debate the way forward.
The event is therefore aimed at Master’s students in Humanitarian Action, Cooperation and Development, and other study cycles in Vocational Training, researchers and professionals in the humanitarian field, as well as members of civil society interested in the subject.
Entrance will be free of charge.
