“Beyond the political and communicational rhetoric, little is being done to achieve the climate goals of the Paris Agreement (2015). In fact, the European Union seems almost isolated in its determination to comply with plans to decarbonise the economy.
The United States, along with many other countries, talks a lot about the environment and climate, but concrete action is rare. China always says yes but always says no. Countries whose economies are developing ensure that solving the problem is the sole responsibility of the biggest polluters. Are there any real chances for environmental and climate policies? The European test will be decisive.”
