As part of the project The protection of vulnerable people – a multidisciplinary perspective, a conference entitled The protection of the elderly will be held on 17 November at the University of Minho Law School.
The project is based on the development of 4 strands, divided into 4 moments (1st Moment – The Protection of the Elderly; 2nd Moment – The Protection of Children and Young People; 3rd Moment – The Protection of People with Disabilities and Other Vulnerabilities; 4th Moment – Final Conference and Presentation of Books).
The aim of this first conference will be to create a space for reflection and interdisciplinary debate on the vulnerability of the elderly and protection needs in various areas. The final aim is to understand the need to reformulate public and legislative policies to safeguard and guarantee the rights of the elderly, in line with international and national guidelines.
