JusGov, through the Smart Cities and Law Project, in partnership with the Fundación Integra Chair on Digital Identity and Rights and the iDerTec-Grupo de Investigación “Innovación, Derecho y Tecnología”, both from the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia, with the Privacy and Data Protection Centre of the European University and the Observatorio de la Regulación de las Entidades del Sector Público, the Democracy and Local Government Foundation and the Faculty of Law of the University of Santiago de Compostela are organizing the 1st International Meeting of (Public Sector) Data Protection Officers – 1IMEETDPO.
Aiming to debate the challenges currently facing DPOs in the exercise of their role, particularly in the fields of local public governance, health, education, archives, research and open science, this International Congress will bring together experts, researchers, representatives of Public Data Controllers and Data Protection Officers from various sectors of the Public Administration and from different European countries.
In a scenario of enormous complexity, where the personal nature of data is increasingly difficult to assess, and the possibility of opening up and reusing this data is also increasingly difficult to consider, the Organizing Committee of 1IMEETDPO strongly invites everyone to participate in this First International Meeting of Public Sector Data Protection Officers, which will take place on 06.12, in the Noble Auditorium of the Law School of the University of Minho.
