Synopsis This dissertation aims to understand and analyze the right of withdrawal and its consequences within distance and off-premises contracts. We chose this theme due to its relevance and frequency in the current society. We propose to analyze the concepts and characteristics of both distance and offpremises contracts, as well as the reason why a right of withdrawal is required. We also try to understand all the relevant aspects related to the right of withdrawal. The Right of withdrawal allows the consumer to withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract, unilaterally, without having to indicate any motive to justify the decision, after a cooling-off period of 14 calendar days.
