Carlos Abreu Amorim, researcher at JusGov, coordinator of Glob – Globalization, Democracy, and Power, the research group of that Centre, and lecturer at the Law School of the University of Minho, takes office today as Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Deputy Secretary of State.
The researcher is a recognized expert in Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Constitutional Law, and Fundamental Rights. He is a member of the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents, served as a Member of Parliament between 2011 and 2019, and was Vice-President of the parliamentary group during the leaderships of Luís Montenegro and Hugo Soares.
