Synopsis In 2014, we proposed to the Human Rights – Interdisciplinary Research Center the creation of two research groups, in human rights and biomedicine and in private law – phenomena of constitutionalization, materialization and socialization. The proposal was accepted – and in each of the two research groups we began to develop some initiatives. We started in December 2014 with an international colloquium on the 20 years of Ronald Dworkin Life’s Dominion book. We continued in May 2015, with an international colloquium on the book by Udo Reifner and Luca Nogler Life Time Contracts and in December 2015 with a meeting on The Principle of Human Dignity and Private Law. Rethinking personality rights? In the first, we counted on the presence of José de Sousa and Brito, Manuel Carneiro da Frada, Steffen Augsberg and Laura Ferreira dos Santos. In the second, we counted on the participation of Udo Reifner and Luca Nogler, Agostinho Cardoso Guedes, Henrique Sousa Antunes, Catarina Serra, Júlio Gomes, José João Abrantes, Jorge Morais Carvalho, Ana Maria Taveira da Fonseca, Sandra Passinhas and Maria João Vasconcelos.
