Synopsis The CEJUR now opens a collection of publications dedicated to themes of the Law of Local Authorities. The aim of this initiative is to promote the dissemination of texts on issues of interest to local and regional communities. Research papers, especially dissertations, will be held here, as part of the Master Course in Law of Local Authorities of the Law School of the University of Minho and the NEDAL (Nucleus of Law Studies of Local Authorities).
This first publication deals with the crimes of responsibility of the holders of political positions and more specifically of the local elected ones, based on a work done by the graduated in Law by the University of Minho, Marta Machado Dias, in a postgraduate course that preceded the First Edition of the Master Course (2007/2008). To this text is added a work especially dedicated to the topic of the loss of mandate. There has been no attempt to take a comprehensive approach to this issue of crimes of local elected officials, but only to draw attention to a number of aspects, with a view to a more thorough and thorough follow-up.
