Merkel was present at the inauguration of Bosch’s new Technology and Development Center | May 30th
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa were present at the inauguration of the new Bosch Technology and Development Center in Braga. A center where the University of Minho will have a strong intervention, with partnership in several projects that will be developed and that represent an investment of 36 million euros until 2021.
A presentation was made by DTx, the Collaborative Laboratory in Digital Transformation, chaired by UMinho, led by the former rector of the academy, António M. Cunha, who introduced the German chancellor to the advantages of a research project applied in different areas associated with digital transformation, encouraging cooperation between R&D units, higher education institutions and the productive sector. The visit was closely monitored by the University of Minho’s rector, Rui Vieira de Castro, and other elements of the team that did not miss this important moment for the academy.
