João Cardoso Rosas (BA in Philosophy and MA in Social and Political Philosophy, University of Porto; PhD in Political Theory, European University Institute) is Associate Professor of Philosophy in the University of Minho. He also has been Visiting Professor in the Portuguese Catholic University, in the Lisbon University Institute and in Brown University, and Visiting Research Fellow in the University of Oxford and in the Institute of Philosophy of CSIC – Madrid. He was Chair of the Portuguese Political Science Association (2010-2012) and of the Portuguese Philosophical Society (since 2013-2017). Currently, he is dean of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Minho.
