Synopsis The importance of the eyewitness identification is recognized worldwide making it essential their study. Understanding how this works and what mechanisms can influence that, are the essence to ensure fairer and reliable judgments, dodging this way, all errors susceptible to influence an eyewitness identification. Memory appears in the foreground as concerns to errors, however we can’t leave aside all those that are generated, consciously or unconsciously, by the officers when they are developing an investigation. All these errors can be minimized and the confidence of the testimony given at the time of the eyewitness identification is not shaken.
